Weekend Lessons Learned!!

This is the Lollipop Lady...she is from Clemson and has tons and tons of amazing homemade Lollipops...the girls have decided they want to use them as party favors for their birthday....holy cow I have to plan their 10th birthday party soon....time flies wayyyyyyy too fast!!

This weekend has been an amazing weekend of lessons for me. Guess the old saying "I learn something new every day" is really true!!
Lesson 1- when you plan on something NOT happening it inevitably will occur!!

Lesson 2- Loosing a very dear family friend and former mentor
, pastor, and role model makes one think deep about everything in life.

Lesson 3- Hydroplaning really really does happen and is REALLY REALLY scary!! Thank God we didn't cross on coming traffic or get stuck in the median in the rain...WHEW!!!

Lesson 4- watching your child(ren) being baptized is the most amazing thing in the world. Hearing your daughter say "Mom I feel really blessed to have been born twice....its too bad not everybody in the world can feel this way".

Lesson 5- sharing deep feelings with a sweet friend after a loss and a very hard afternoon is some times just what the Dr. ordered! thank you F.E. :)

Lesson 6- "You will never know God's love more clearly than when you forgiv
e and love your enemies. " - Corrie Ten Boom.....sometimes God will send you exactly what you need to hear in exactly the right moment...and although I already knew this I think He knows I need to re-learn this lesson sometimes!!

So, in the span of 3 days we have had tons and tons going on..the parade at th
e Mtn. Laurel festival was really fun...kinda long...but fun! I love watching my "babies" having fun...I don't have many years of that left :(. Mountain Laurel face painting is (according to my children) the most amazing thing in the world...

amazing weekends and wonderful family time are always happening and with summer just around the corner I hope to have tons and tons more!!

~First Day~

So today is the first day of my "break". I am still in the habit of getting everything done at night so that it doesn't have to sit all day for me to come home to. Note to self....if I'm going to continue doing that it is going to leave me with nothing to do during the day but sit here. Well, not really because there is always the garage that could stand a good cleaning and all the pictures that I still need to hang on the wall :).....I am hoping and praying that this break won't last too long but I know that God has a plan and I am completely willing to follow it. This was shown clearly to me last Tuesday. My former boss told me that the meeting he had that afternoon was about me and that "it wasn't good news". So I immediately knew exactly what he meant. Tuesday night my wonderful mother sent me a message and said that there was a listing in The Northeast Georgian that seemed to be perfect for me. I checked it out, then immediately began working on my resume which fell completely in to place along with an amazing cover letter! From that moment on the loss of my job with Piedmont College seemed like it might be for a reason. God is in control of my life right now and I am absolutely LOVING IT!!! God Bless all of my sweet friends, now I get to spend a little more time with you and hopefully get to know a few of you a little better :D!!!
